From the mind of the Lumberjack…

HT: Are We Lumberjacks?

Was it just coincidence that Sarah Palin gave her acceptance speech in Minnesota, also home to Frostbite Falls, or that she was only a few miles from Whatsamatta U? Meanwhile, keep checking with the MSM for the latest attempts to fracture the fairy-tale.

  1. It’s pretty interesting. I haven’t gotten my news from television in years. Does the AP count as mainstream media? Anyway, she’s a pretty sassy lady. My only beef was that her speech was a skosh divisive.

Honestly, I kind of wish she were running for President, this would be SO INTERESTING. It’s almost unfair to make McCain give a speech after her.

  2. Hayden, typically the “MSM” refers to the conventional media in all its forms; you know, those entities who have real editors and stuff like that to ensure fact-checking and accuracy – then run poorly-researched “news” as their lead stories anyway. As with the way they handled Hillary, they lit out after Palin with rumor and innuendo the day she was announced … only to be embarrassed when more details came out. Palin came out swinging against them in her speech without having to pretend – as Hillary had to – that they were her friends in the first place. The tone of SP’s speech was definitely aggressive but not out-of-line with Biden’s and Obama’s speeches last week, though those seemed to save their harshest attacks on the administration (that isn’t even running this time0. The VP-nominee’s speeches are typically more aggressive, leaving the “statesmanship” to the presidential candidate.

SP has definitely made her presence known; it will be interesting to see how she does in connecting with people the next two months.
