the condition is called Egg Bound. the egg gets stuck.
my dad used to raise finches and canaries. not sure what the process of saving the bird involved, but i think it involved vegatable oil, a box and a warm lamp.

he was able to save a lot of birds in his day.

Dad added something about putting the budgie down. I don't know what that was all about...

Thanks, Alan! Some say memories are what you make of them, but I think they make us as well. It's nice to have good ones to look back on!

Even though I visited the Midway regularly a bit before you, the memories are about the same. My grandmother was the cashier at The Midway and I was a regular there in the summers when my family would come up from Memphis to visit. The overwhelming pie selection, the "naughty" postcards, playing the pinball machines, shooting the bear in the hunting game with my uncles was my experiences too, as the boy in a man's world. As Bob Hope would say, "Thanks for the memories", I re-live them in your words!

i suggest Tiger Lilly invest in chocolate futures before the price goes up.

a health food? may be.
back in my 20-30's i probably ate 3-4 lbs of chocolate a week. this is not an over statement. i bought chunky bars by the boxes.
(before i officially quite the addictions and gained 30 lbs.)
on chocolate, i stayed a nice slim weight not to be seen until i was denied all food three yrs ago.
