yeah, take it.
on a side note, you can claim 'cancer survivor' (even if you dont feel it) when counseling others in the future.
you may not feel it, but you've felt the emotions fair enough. and when couseling, you are dealing with emotions primarily.

this is a gift to share with others.

i'm still waiting for adulthood, and i'm almost 48.
take your time, and it'll sneak up on ya when you're having too much fun.

but seriously... adulthood is something other people attribute to you, not something that you claim for yourself.

It brings to mind the story from a few years back about a game park in Africa that was having trouble with adolescent male elephants. There were no older bulls around and the young males would go on rampages, attacking rhinos, tearing trees out of the ground and other bits of mischief. When the park brought in some older males things settled down pretty quick.

Maybe some bull elephants such as myself need to step up.

Ugh. This kind of experience peeves me greatly. And somehow it brings to my mind Pale Rider. And then, with a bit of effort, I think of young men who have not received effective instruction (perhaps no male input at all.) Then you end up on a train dealing with the whole tiresome macho schtick. The sins of the fathers get visited on the sons....
