I have the same questions as Drunkguy.

But also to keep things in perspective, the REGULAR flu kills 36,000 Americans every year. So you know, this swine kerfluffle has a ways to go.

Well, it's nothing to pooh-pooh, but certainly not something to loose one's head over at this point. They closed two schools in central Minnesota today because of one suspected case of SF; I think people are making decisions more out of a fear of being sued than fear of the flu.

36,000 people die in the U.S. from the flu each year with nary a notice; those viruses should get a snazzier name or a better press agent.

So what I gather from the above information is that in addition to birds, and pigs, we should also avoid eating the spanish, and asians… does that sound about right? or are they okay as long as we cook them long enough? its so hard to keep this all straight..
